Sister's Wedding and Weird Cycle Stuff-TMI warning!

Hi everybody! :)

Sorry for the long absence-I was visiting my family for a week while Boomz was in Rome. Thank you all so much for the prayers for his safe travels! He got back around midnight last night. :)

My sister's wedding was...insane. The whole day was just full of craziness. I felt out of place the whole day because most of the bridal party were people I didn't know and they were all getting really drunk. My little brother was also in the bridal party and I kept getting angry that they were all being such horrible influences on the young people there (one of the bridesmaids was 13 or 14 and she was drinking). I went all Mama Bear on one of the groomsmen at one point, because I heard him yell, "Somebody Ice (insert brother's name here)". There was no way I was going to let them give my brother a Smir.noff, so I yelled, "NOBODY is going to Ice my brother!" My sister quickly whispered to me that there was another member of the bridal party with my brother's name, and I felt like a bit of an idiot. lol Later, I found out that one of the groomsmen gave my brother a rum and coke, and I was pretty upset. Thankfully, my dad took it away from him.

I felt very odd the entire day. The Mass was irreverently celebrated, which broke my heart. There were liturgical abuses galore. There was a fight at the reception, and everybody was wasted. It was really sad. I even had a little too much to drink, myself, but that was because I didn't eat enough and I couldn't taste the alcohol in my drink, which is always dangerous. lol I felt horrible the next morning, but mostly I was disappointed in myself. I haven't let myself get like that for years. Ugh.

On the up side: My sister looked gorgeous and the reception hall was beautifully decorated! And I got to see relatives that I only get to see about once a year, so that was great! :)

In other news, I'm having a really wonky cycle this month. I usually take estro.dial and prome.trium every month to mimic a normal woman's cycle, but this month I wanted to see if I could cycle on my own (plus, I needed to get my prescription refilled and it just never happened. lol). Well, on the 3rd (4 days early) I started having VL bleeding, which has continued almost this entire month. I had one or two moments when "making observations" after going to the bathroom where it was M-H, but it wasn't red. It was this weird pink-brown color. It's also very...thick. Like, I can pick it up and stretch it thick. I'm starting to get a little concerned, and I can't make it in to my NaPro doctor because she works far away. Do you have any idea what could be going on? I would really appreciate some help! :)

P.S. Is anybody else having issues with their Goo.gle Read.er with the blogs that have recently gone private? Their new posts aren't showing up!

  1. Your sister's wedding would've driven me insane! My aunts laugh about their underage kids drinking and they act like it's no big deal whereas my parents freaked out when they found out I was drinking wine when I was 25! Good thing you were responsible!

I've had strange CM like that, but I have no idea why. I had the strangest things happen in the cycle before my surgery. I can't wait to get back on all the meds!

Could you call your Napro doctor for advice or even a nurse?

    Continued prayers for you!

  2. 13 year olds drinking?? That's horrible! I'm glad you protected your brother, I would've done the same.

Sorry about your wonky cycle. :( I agree with JB, see what the doc says.

  5. I'm glad you were able to enjoy parts of your sister's wedding. It does sound like a pretty crazy experience! I'm also glad to hear that your hubby got home safe and sound. Yay!
Not sure on the bleeding ... I know that the brown indicates perhaps an infection (what I've been told about my own cycle), but I'm not sure why you're having VL bleeding the rest of the days. Does your NaPro doc/teacher have email?
I haven't been able to get the private blogs in Goo.gle Reader either, but I figured I'd have to individually open them anyway.
