Did you, by chance, have rough patches on your knees? I have a friend who also left a convent and I couldn't believe what her knees looked like... yet at the same time it made me realize I need to pray more. :)

I hope you'll keep going with your series so we can find out what happened next.Grace in my Hearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09742364804125879803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215304979015171271.post-75199600068465994942010-11-11T06:25:31.456-08:002010-11-11T06:25:31.456-08:00I want to join....I wouldn't be able to handle...I want to join....I wouldn't be able to handle the work load...It would be too much for me to do. This story is so...Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!! This story is so inspirational to me! I spent a good deal of my late teens worrying that I had a religious vocation... yep, I worried about it! I wanted to be married someday, and I was scared.
I am now confident that I truly was called to a vocation of marriage, but I wish I would have understood discernment better.
One of my goals for my daughters is to expose them to religious sisters regularly throughout their childhood so that they can discern their vocation without fear.
Thank you for sharing all of this!Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02246642466824704112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215304979015171271.post-22727555269869042902010-11-10T18:38:25.107-08:002010-11-10T18:38:25.107-08:00Thanks for posting this! God was preparing you for your vocation (of marriage) during this time!!!

I have a friend who was a Poor Clare for 7 YEARS before she left (right before her final vows). She always said her time in religous life was the best preparation for her for marriage.

My own mother was a Fransican sister for almost 3 years.

I have loved these posts so so much. And I am so happy you found your true vocation of marriage! What a beautiful thing to have you following God's Will...where ever it may lead!Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11561225727269423670noreply@blogger.com
